Assemblywoman Sharon Quirk-Silva was first elected to serve California’s 65th Assembly District in 2012. In 2016, she regained her seat to serve the constituents of North Orange County. In 2018, the constituents re-elected her to serve the communities of Anaheim, Buena Park, Cypress, Fullerton, Garden Grove, La Palma, and Stanton. Prior to her service in the State Legislature, she served in local government as a member of the Fullerton City Council from 2004 to 2012, including serving two terms as Mayor.

“The Mental Health of Women in a Pandemic”
Diana Alcantar is the Clinical Program Manager for the Behavioral Health & Primary Care Integration Program at Providence St. Joseph Heritage Medical. She earned a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from California Baptist University with a dual emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy and Forensic Psychology. Diana, with the support ofa psychiatric consultant, has worked in a collaborative care model that looks at the ‘whole’ patient to ensure patient is provided with proper care. She has been a guest speaker for non-profit organizations to promote mental health access for children, youth, and adults. Diana is not just a therapist or a leader, but also a wife, and a loving mother.
