Description
The guest speaker will be former Army Ranger Master Sgt Cedric King, US Army ret., who was tragically involved in an IED explosion during his second tour of duty in Afghanistan. However, Cedric has a positive story of overcoming a catastrophic injury to accomplishing incredible physical feats such as running the Boston Marathon, other marathons and races while maintaining a positive, thankful attitude.
You will be inspired by his story that is documented in his book The Making Point: How to Succeed When You’re at Your Breaking Point. Also featured at the breakfast will be singer Chuck Girard, a trailblazer in contemporary Christian music. He is a singer, songwriter, recording artist, and worship leader, and a founding member of LOVE SONG, the music group that was highlighted in the recent movie “Jesus Revolution.” As always, we will have community pastors and worship leaders offering prayers and Scripture readings.
The Buena Park Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast is a nonprofit 501(c)(3), not affiliated with the City of Buena Park, although the mayor is invited each year to participate in the planning. This event is always memorable and is supported by our Title Sponsor Steve Knott, our committee, and community sponsors.
